Registration for Language Courses
Registration must be completed in person, in writing, or online. Once the student signs the agreement to participate in the course, the registration is binding. Participation in a language course is only permitted after binding registration. The course fees must be paid online via our website upon registration.
You may register for the full course or only for the second part of the course. If registering for the full course, instalment payments are possible. The second instalment must be paid no later than two days before the start of the second part of the course.
By registering for the full course, you agree that participation cannot be interrupted. In case of non-attendance, the full course fees are still due.
General information about the language course
One lesson equals 45 minutes. Costs for textbooks, course materials, and telc exams are not included in the course fee. If a class is cancelled due to the teacher’s illness, the missed lessons will be rescheduled. A certificate of participation is only issued if at least 75% attendance is achieved. All course times published on the website are non-binding and should be considered as planning data.
When registering for the telc exam, the student agrees to the applicable exam regulations from telc gGmbH. Any attempt at cheating leads to the examination board and the examination is declared invalid. When registering for telc exams, you have the statutory right of withdrawal.
Language course cancellation
Course registration is binding. Cancellations must be submitted in writing using our Cancellation Form. Cancellation is possible up to 30 days before the course starts. In this case, the course fees will be refunded, minus a €150 administrative fee.
If cancellation occurs less than 30 days before the course starts, 100% of the fees are due. In the case of course rescheduling, cancellation is not permitted. Course fees must be paid in full, regardless of the number of days attended.
Cancellation is only possible with valid justification (e.g., illness or visa rejection). Proof must be submitted along with the Cancellation Form. Please request the form from us. Refunds will be processed within 30 working days.
Course re-booking
Courses may be rescheduled free of charge up to 30 days before the course starts. If rescheduling occurs less than 30 days before, a €150 rescheduling fee applies. Each course can be rescheduled only once.
Right of withdrawal
The student has the right to revoke the agreement within 14 days of the conclusion of the agreement without giving any reason. The revocation must be made in writing tot he following address:

All payments will be repaid within 14 days of receiving the cancellation request. If there are less than 14 days between the conclusion of the agreement and the start of the course or the exam date, the right of withdrawal will be revoked.
Course Postponement or Change of Lesson Hours
The IISC e.V. reserves the right to postpone or cancel a course if the minimum number of participants (8) is not reached. A refund will be provided if a student must wait more than two months for the course.
If only 5 participants register, the total number of course hours will be reduced accordingly.
Telc exams
Registration for telc exams must be done in person or online. Registration is valid once the exam fee is received.
The registration deadline is 14 days before the exam date. Registrations received after this period will be moved to the next available exam date. No refunds are issued in this case.
If you’re sick on the exam day, you may reschedule, but only by submitting an official medical certificate on the same day. Late submissions invalidate the right to reschedule. Illness does not entitle you to a refund.
Rescheduling Exams Due to Illness
Starting 09.08.2025, a €30 processing fee will be charged for rescheduling an exam due to illness, even with timely submission of a medical certificate.
In case of illness, the exam date will be automatically moved to the next available date. Rescheduling is only accepted upon written request and submission of the medical certificate.
The exam fee must be paid online via our website.
By registering, you accept the official telc exam regulations. Any attempt at cheating results in disqualification and invalidation of your exam result.
Exam cancellation is only allowed up to 30 days before the scheduled exam. After this point, no refunds are given. Cancellation must be made in writing.
§ 13 Right of Withdrawal (telc Exams Only)
For bookings of telc exams without a preparation course, there is no right of withdrawal. These are capacity-limited services taking place at fixed times.
Consumer Dispute Resolution
Note according to § 36 Consumer Dispute Settlement Act (VSBG):
We do not take part in a dispute settlement procedure before a consumer arbitration board within the meaning of the VSBG and are not obliged to do so.
