About the C1 Online German course

In our C1 German Course Online, you can learn German from the comfort of your own home and still be there live! We use modern technology and a stable app for online lessons. You can easily download the app from the Internet to your PC, tablet or smartphone. For learning your German C1 online you will need:

  • a good internet connection 
  • a laptop, tablet or smartphone 
  • a headset 
  • textbooks: interactive digital version or a printed book
  • the Microsoft Teams Application

After registering, you will receive a link via e-mail and with just a few clicks you can log into your online live course. 

C1 level means that you can understand longer and more demanding texts. You can express yourself spontaneously and fluently in business and private life. You don’t have to search for words and you can use different phrases and express your opinion on complex matters in a structured and detailed manner. 

Learn German C1 Online with IISC

The German C1 online course is a comprehensive course specifically designed to meet the needs of students who wish to prepare for the Telc C1 Hochschule exam. The course offers intensive exercises and practical guidance to improve language skills in the areas of reading, writing, listening and speaking. Through focused training, participants are prepared for the demands of the exam and learn to understand complex texts, express themselves in a clear and structured way and communicate appropriately in different situations. In addition, participants receive valuable tips and strategies to help them overcome their exam anxiety and boost their self-confidence.

The German C1 level online course is divided into C1.1 and C1.2 levels. The first level (C1.1) consists of 80 lessons and the second level (C1.2) consists of 100 lessons. The C1.2 level includes preparation for the final test, after which you will receive our internal certificate. Our internal test is also an ideal way to prepare for the telc exam. In total, the Telc С1 Hochschule Preparation Course Intensive consists of 180 lessons and therefore lasts nine calendar weeks.

You can either register for the complete C1 course or for the C1.2 course (in this case you need to show us proof that you have completed C1.1 or take our placement test). If you register for the full course, you have the option of paying the course fees in two instalments.

This course takes place as a hybrid course. A hybrid course can be attended both online and in presence. You have the possibility to learn German together with other participants who attend the course in presence.

How long does the C1 Online German Course last?

The C1 online course runs for a total of nine weeks. Four weeks are allocated to the first part of the course, and five weeks to the second part.

How many lessons are there per week?

The course includes a total of 20 lessons per week.

Which platform is used for the lessons?

All classes are conducted via Microsoft Teams. Participants need to create an account and log in to the online sessions daily.

Is the course fully online?

No, this is a hybrid format. Some learners attend classes in person at the school, while others join the lessons online.

Who is the C1 Online German Course suitable for?

The C1 course is designed for individuals who plan to work, study, or pursue academic or professional training in Germany and therefore require very advanced German language skills.

What technical requirements are needed?

To take part in the online lessons, you need a laptop or computer, a headset, and a camera. The camera must remain switched on throughout the lessons to ensure active participation.

Will I receive a certificate after completing the course?

Yes, upon successful completion you will receive a certificate of participation as well as a certificate from our language institute. Please note that this is not an officially state-recognised language certificate.

Can I try the course before enrolling?

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer trial lessons.

Are homework and learning materials provided?

Yes, participants regularly receive assignments, exercises, and additional learning materials to complete outside of class.

Are textbooks provided in digital format?

No, the course materials are not available digitally. The textbooks must be purchased separately in printed form.

How large are the groups?

The groups typically consist of 8 to 14 participants.

Is it possible to register only for the first part of the course?

No, registration is only possible for the full C1 course. The total course fee must be paid, although it can be split into two instalments: 480 euros for the first payment and 480 euros for the second.

It is possible to join only the second part of the course if you can provide proof of having successfully completed a C1.1 course.
