In Germany, mastering two or three foreign languages is a fundamental requirement for studying at a university. Even in general education classes, at least one foreign language is taught, with English often taking the lead. However, for many students, learning both German and English simultaneously can be quite challenging.

The English lessons at the International Institute for Studies and Cooperation (IISC) in Braunschweig provide targeted support to help overcome these difficulties. Our school offers group lessons for students and, upon request, online classes as well.

Why English Classes in the Small Groups at IISC Are a Smart Choice

Our English classes take place in small groups of 4 to 8 students, allowing teachers to give each participant sufficient attention. This format effectively combines individual, pair, and group work. Regular attendance in classes at IISC leads to:

  • Improved writing skills and listening comprehension;
  • Better pronunciation and speaking fluency;
  • A clearer understanding of grammar rules.

The tutoring sessions not only strengthen students’ academic knowledge but also boost their self-confidence, especially before exams. Group lessons enhance both performance and creativity. The success of fellow students and the support from the teacher motivate participants to stay focused and continue improving. Our English teachers spark students’ interest in learning by using presentations, videos, games, and competitions. Joint projects also foster a sense of community among the children.

Compared to private lessons, the costs for English classes in small groups are lower. For students, it’s also a great opportunity to make new connections and friendships.

How English Group Tuition Work at IISC

The English group tutoring sessions for children in Braunschweig take place in the classrooms of IISC. Classes are held twice a week in the afternoon and include:

  • Learning new vocabulary;
  • Listening comprehension exercises;
  • Reading;
  • Interactive discussions with group members;
  • Writing assignments;
  • Tests to assess learning progress.

The courses are led by qualified teachers and advanced students pursuing educational degrees at German universities. Our instructors know how to engage students of all ages and use various methods to make the learning process exciting and accessible.

The classrooms at IISC are equipped with the latest technology, and the lessons take place in a calm and friendly atmosphere. Our goal is to instill a love of learning in students, so they are motivated to further develop their knowledge and skills.

How to Join English Small Group Tutoring at IISC

Groups are organized according to the students’ ages and knowledge levels. Before joining an English small group tutoring, students take a free placement test. The schedule is set after the groups are formed.

Upon request, we also offer online private lessons. It’s also possible for children or teenagers to join already existing groups. English lessons at IISC can begin at any time.

Payment Options for English Classes and Additional Offers

Payments are made monthly. We accept payments via credit card, cash, and bank transfer. Tutoring can also be funded by the Jobcenter or Social Welfare Office.

In addition to English, our students can also learn German and math in groups. For adults, we offer online and face-to-face intensive German courses. We also prepare students for exams and help them obtain the international Telc certificate. For international teenagers, we provide intensive preparation for the Studienkolleg.
